What is an Electric Folding Bike?

An electric folding bike, also known as a foldable e-bike, is a compact electric bicycle that can be folded within seconds. These versatile bikes combine the convenience of a traditional folding bike with the power of electric pedal assistance, allowing you to effortlessly cover longer distances without breaking a sweat.

Thanks to the powerful battery and efficient motor, electric folding bikes offer a range between 30 and 140 kilometers, depending on battery capacity and model. Most models have wheels of 16 inch, 20 inch, or 24 inch. Smaller wheels (16 inch) are the most compact and ideal for commuting and public transport use. Medium-sized wheels (20 inch) offer a good balance between compactness and comfort, while larger wheels (24 inch) approach the riding comfort of a regular electric bike.

With a 250W rear wheel motor, you always have the wind at your back, even when climbing hills or cycling against the wind. Unlike front wheel motors, a rear wheel motor provides more grip on wet roads and creates a more natural cycling feel. Batteries typically range between 250 Wh and 700 Wh, where larger capacity means greater range but also adds more weight.
